What is the legal status of cannabis in Pennsylvania?
In 2015, Pennsylvania passed senate bill 3. Patients in Pennsylvania can enjoy access to a number of extracts of Marijuana including oil, ointment, vaporizations, and several others. However, smoking is not allowed, nor is possession or use of the whole plant or leaf. Patients here can possess up to a 30-day supply of their medicine. It is expected that state lawmakers will complete the roll-out process by early 2018, but there will be no more than 50 dispensaries.
CBD oil derived from hemp is 100% legal in all 50 states, as this plant never has more than trace amounts of THC, but is generally rich in CBD and other cannabinoids.
